Aussie business is rapidly changing: How to keep up

Is your business to change? Make sure your communications are ready to keep up.

Since the global financial crisis, it seems that more businesses are enjoying a period of growth. Australian enterprises in particular are finding the current economic climate a more secure one, though it is one susceptible to change.

This is the key finding in a recent research study by Frost & Sullivan. The market research firm found that more than one-quarter (26 per cent) of Australian executives believed their industry is changing rapidly. The proportion of people answering in this way is a dramatic increase from a similar study in 2010, when half of today's respondents (13 per cent) could say the same.

However, the 'Disrupt, Collapse, Transform' study - a survey of 1,500 executives in seven countries - also found that business leaders in Australia were more complacent than those in other countries regarding the need to adapt.

Slightly more than 1 in 10 (13 per cent) believed change needs to happen faster than in the past, whereas almost a quarter (22 per cent) of global leaders thought the same, leaving Aussie businesses susceptible to being left behind.

Despite this, it's important for a business to be adaptable for whatever changes may come, and be flexible in its key resources.

One crucial area that can benefit from adaptability is communication. A business runs on its connection to the outside world, as well as communication within its own office.

Conference call services are able to help a business protect itself in a number of ways:

Whether it's through planning a web conference call or a teleconference, these services are easy to establish, quick to set up and easy to join.

What's more, if your business changes course, your communication will be versatile enough to prove useful during this time, as well as after.

Communication downtime can cripple a business. Make sure your conference call solution provider is established and reliable.

Cost efficiency

Some businesses don't want to take risks with capital expenditure - which is quite understandable considering a financial climate still ingrained in recent memory.
